December 2007: Month of Great Power

Dearly beloved,

Grace and mercy be multiplied to you all in Jesus name as we celebrate this special season of the year, when we remember the coming of our Lord.

He came in humility, born in a lowly manger through supernatural conception and birth by the virgin Mary. All this the Lord was using to teach us in a sense, the great virtue of humility, sacrifice and love.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (Jn 3:16).

Therefore as we rejoice in the lowly birth of the King of kings and Lord of lords, let us remember that at His second coming, anytime soon, He will be coming triumphant riding on the sky, as the trumpet blows and only those who are pure at His coming will see Him and meet Him in the air, to reign forever with Him.

As we relish in this Christmas season of joy and merriment, let us remember to keep ourselves pure as His bride, with our lamps filled with oil and extra to spare, for the bridegroom cometh soon.

Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

Shalom,
Pastor Chris Ogali

November 2007: Month of Holiness

Dearly beloved,

Calvary greetings.

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I greet you all for your prayers, gifts, words of encouragement etc that you showered on me and my family, as you all joined me in celebrating, 60 years of God’s mercy and goodness.

You all overreached yourself in the outpouring of love and kindness. May the Almighty God who sees and knows, reward you all abundantly for your labor, love and gifts in Jesus name. May your joy be full all the days of your life, and may others celebrate you also.

This month of November ‘07, is the month of holiness, as the Lord has ordained. Therefore we all, by the grace of God, shall henceforth, prayerfully strive to “be holy in all of our conduct” (1Pet 1:15). God will help us (Phil 4:13) and wherever we are weak, His strength shall make perfect our weakness (2Cor 12:9).

Let us also spend quality time this month in praising and thanking God continually (Heb 13:15) for therein God is well pleased (Heb 13:15-16).

Teach Us to Number Our Days (Psalm 90:12)

Moses, the man of God who was reputed to have been the writer of Ps 90, prayed in verse 12 of the Psalm that God would “teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” For the man of God to pray this prayer, presupposes that it is not natural for most people to reflect, review or take stock of their life periodically with a view to gaining some understanding of hindsight that would prepare us for the uncertainties of the future.

I am grateful to the Almighty God for His grace that saved me about 18years ago through faith in the death and resurrection of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. This single event, by the mercy of God, I believe, began for me, the journey of daily fulfillment of the above scripture.

Therefore knowing the terror of God against His enemies, as the apostle Paul said, we persuade men (2Cor 5:11) to be mindful of the fact, that our heavenly Father, the creator of the whole universe has dealt to every man, a measure of days (Ps 90:10), for which each and every one of us must render account to His Son Jesus on that final day of judgment (2Cor 5:10).

The earlier we all in Christ learn to take stock of our lives, redeem the time (Eph 5:15-18) and apply our hearts to wisdom (Ps 90:12), the more we will walk with our maker to all pleasing (Heb 13:21) both here on earth and ultimately when we see Him in glory.

The prodigal son (Luke 15:17-18) who practiced this simple virtue, when he looked at his present, poor beggarly predicament and compared it to the life of bliss and riches he enjoyed in his father’s house, whereby he came to the decision to return home.

Likewise, as we number our days, past mistakes, errors and predicaments are weighed in the light of present circumstances. By hindsight and the leading of God by His spirit, through His word, we are instructed (Ps 19:11) and godly wisdom derived thereby prepares us for a better tomorrow.

When we draw near to God, He will draw near to us (Jer 4:8) and He will teach us His ways. As we learn and apply His ways and make them our ways, we will prosper and have good success (Josh 1:8 and Ps 90:17).

It is no wonder that the Almighty God rested on the 7th day (Gen 2:1-3), called it holy, blessed it and asked us to do likewise. Such periodic review (daily, weekly, monthly, annually etc), alone with God, will cause us to walk in greater wisdom and confidence.

My prayer is that the Lord will continue to teach us as we journey through life, to remember Him always as the author and finisher, the one in whose hands our times are (Ps 31:15). When we walk with the Lord thereby, as the song writer says, “in the light of His word, what a glory He sheds on our way. Trust and obey for there’s no other way.”

I give glory to God for the life He has given me, His grace and mercy that has kept us thus far. I pray for a long life as you all join me in celebrating the goodness of our God these past 60years. Brethren I wish above all things that we all will prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers.

Shalom,
Pastor Chris Ogali

October 2007: Month of Multiplication

Dearly beloved,

We give glory to God for an awesome year of vision accomplishment thus far. The Lord has continued to work with us confirming his word with accompanying signs (Mark 16:20).

The revival of the Lord is in our midst and as we grow in the knowledge of the word of God (Acts 19:30) and live holy, we will multiply in every good work.

Yes brethren, this is the month of multiplication and God has purposed to not only increase and multiply us (Gen 1:28) but make us all, agents of multiplication in all that is good wherever we are.

The kingdom of God worldwide is multiplying, for Jesus gave us the command "occupy until I come" (Lk 19:13).

As kings of the earth, let us all go forth and exercise dominion worldwide on behalf of the King of kings, our Lord Jesus (Rev 1:5-6) until his imminent second coming (Rev 22:12).

Shalom,
Pastor Chris Ogali

September 2007: Month of Revival

Dearly beloved,

Behold revival (Ps 85:6) time is here at last. It’s the month of the redeemed of the Lord. So go tell it on the mountains, hills and everywhere what God has done and declare Jesus is Lord (1Cor 12:3) of your life to the ends of the earth.

We should sing of the mercies of the Lord (Ps 89:1) forever and let the heathen know that Jesus loves them and will save all who call on His name (Rm 10:13).

Brethren we all have a helper, the precious Holy Spirit of God, whose power in us is greater than He that is in the world (Jn 4:4).

So lets celebrate Jesus and make His praises be heard all around us and He’ll revive/restore everything the thief (satan) has stolen from us (Jn 10:10).

Shalom,
Pastor Chris Ogali

August 2007: Month of Miracles

Dearly beloved,

It is your turn for special and custom made miracles and the God of breakthroughs shall do the impossible for each and everyone of us in Jesus name.

With great expectations, high hopes and great faith let us look unto the hills from whence cometh our help (Ps 121:1) and our God who made heavens and the earth will open the heavens for as many who believe, and pour down His miracles from this month like never before. Amen.

Like the one out of ten lepers who were healed by Jesus, let us remember to return to the Lord’s house to give glory to God and encourage others (Lk 17:15-19).

Shalom,
Pastor Chris Ogali

July 2007: Month of Praise

Dearly beloved,

We thank God for an awesome convention of RCCGNA just concluded to God’s glory on our 500 acres Camp ground in Floyd, Texas.

It was glorious and the over 16,000 worshippers from all over USA, Canada and other parts of the world attested to God’s visitation of His people and church.

Let us prayerfully prepare to all be at the 2008 Convention at the same venue by June 18-21, 2008.

We are believing God for the early completion of the Convention Arena so join us to pray for the hand of God.

Meanwhile let us all rise to give the highest praise to Jesus in this month of July 2007. Our God reigns and His name shall be praised to the ends of the world (Ps 22:27) for His goodness, mercy and faithfulness.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord (Ps 150:6).

Shalom,
Pastor Chris Ogali
