Beloved in Christ,
Love, peace and joy of the Lord be multiplied to you all in Jesus name.
The God of all grace and comfort has continued to pour His grace and mercy to us all born-again, to a lively faith and hope in Him through the trust we have in the finished work at Calvary of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior.
With a repentant heart of love and compassion to Him and one another, we are called to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and the other good things we desire of Him shall be added unto us (Matt 6:33).
It is the way of righteousness of God, for us to make good/restore/restitute any harm, loss, offense we cause one another, in the everyday course of life, here on earth (Lev 6:1-5).
Therefore, in this month of restitution, let us endeavor, by the grace of God to seek out where we have wronged God or man and make good while on this side of eternity.
The story of Zacheus, the rich tax collector and sinner of Jericho, in Luke 19:1-10, is a practical illustration of how our encounter with Jesus Christ should radically cause us to restore/restitute our ways both in the old and new life.
God desires that we have a conscience that is without offense before God and man (Acts 24:16).
Perchance, if those offenses still remain in our hearts through lying, stealing, unforgiveness, deceit or covetousness etc, I pray by confession and restitution, that God will help us make amends, help us settle all accounts with Him and our neighbors, here on earth, before we meet Him in the land of no return or restitution (Heb 9:27-28).
God bless you as you obey and salvation shall truly come to our house today (Lk 19:9).
Shalom,
Pastor Chris Ogali
